  • Done In a Day
The "Done in a Day" community impact initiative was designed to be a collaboration between Junior League of the Quad Cities and local non-profit organizations. Projects have included hosting an art project for children and cooking classes for women at Haven of Hope, volunteering at the Putnam Museum pajama party, organizing clothing for Dress for Success QC, shopping for angel tree gifts for Family Resources, and volunteering for the Special Olympics Illinois Polar Plunge.

  • Yours for a Year Partnership Activities
The “Yours for a Year” community impact initiative was designed to be a collaboration between Junior League of the Quad Cities and an organization chosen by our membership, with it's purpose being to meet a pre-determined need with specific and measurable objectives.  Over the course of a one year period, JLQC will provide both financial support and trained volunteers from our membership.

This year, JLQC is participating in the Little Black Dress Initiative to benefit Haven of Hope. JLQC members will agree to wear one black dress (or outfit) for five consecutive days in an effort to spark conversations and awareness about poverty and related issues. Participants will harness the power of social media to increase awareness by sharing their personal experiences and insights on poverty and raise funds through online donations. All funds will go to Haven of Hope. While they receive funds for mental health appointments, they need help with getting to those appointments. We will use our funds to buy bus tickets, gas cards, Uber gift cards, etc.
