Annual Events

  • Sip Sip Hooray
Sip Sip Hooray is an evening to celebrate the accomplishments of the Junior League of the Quad Cities while tasting local libations and fantastic food from Me & Billy. 100% of the proceeds go directly back into the Junior League to help support our mission of promoting voluntarism, developing women, and improving the Quad Cities area. The proceeds will also be used to continue our I AM Initiative programs that are dedicated to improving the perception and self-image of women through leadership and empowerment to inspire change.

  • Yours for a Year Partnership Activities
The “Yours for a Year” community impact initiative was designed to be a collaboration between Junior League of the Quad Cities and an organization chosen by our membership, with it's purpose being to meet a pre-determined need with specific and measurable objectives.  Over the course of a one year period, JLQC will provide both financial support and trained volunteers from our membership.

This year, JLQC partnered with Triota, the Women and Gender Studies Honor Society at St. Ambrose University. JLQC supported Triota on their project "Raising Our Voices: Serving and Leading", which is a series of events throughout the year to educate the SAU campus and community about trauma-informed care, violence prevention, body image, and pay inequality.

Triota was chosen because the organization’s focus and projects support our "I AM" Initiative, which emphasizes JLQC's commitment to improving the perception and self-image of women through leadership and empowerment to inspire change.  Additionally, Triota's mission aligns with Junior League's advocacy positions on campus sexual assault, human trafficking, and women, families and work.
